Srinivasan graduated with a B.Sc (Physics) from National University of Singapore, LLB from University of London and a GDA (Theology) from Alphacrucis College.
Srinivasan read Physics in NUS on a SAF Local Training Award graduating in 1988 with a B.Sc majoring in Physics with a minor in Computer Programming. He then served as a regular officer in the SAF rising to the rank of Major. During his army years, he studied Law and graduated with an LL.B (Hons). He is qualified as a Barrister-at-Law, England and as a Legal Practitioner in New South Wales, Australia. He is on the Associate Mediator panel at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC).
In the area of construction law, he has carried out both contentious and non-contentious work. In the area of contentious matters he has acted for Owners/Employers, Main contractors, Domestic and nominated sub-contractors, Architects and Consultants. He has acted for both Claimants and Respondents in SOP claims of significant value and has been engaged in disputes dealing with some intricate legal issues in this area. He has been the adviser to the Main Contractors in an Integrated Resort, Hospital, large commercial buildings and condominiums. Srinivasan has dealt with numerous standard form contracts such as SIA, FIDIC, RIBA, JCT.
In the area of non-contentious construction matters, he has drafted contracts for the construction of hotels, chemical plants, telecommunications infrastructure projects etc.
In the area of insolvency practice, Srinivasan has acted for creditors, liquidators as well as companies facing winding up in a variety of insolvency matters. He has successfully acted in several debt restructuring schemes to restructure debts exceeding S$50million.
He has acted and continues to act in a number of commercial matters of significant value acting in shareholder disputes, breaches of Company Law, Trusts and Tort.
Srinivasan also does corporate work advising on and drafting a range of commercial contracts both domestic and cross border. He has drafted a wide range of transactional documents including Sale & Purchase of Businesses, joint venture agreements, service agreements, sales & distribution agreements, maintenance agreements, Research & Development Projects, Infrastructure development projects etc.

After leaving SAF Srinivasan was employed as a Subject Matter Expert/Consultant in Systems and Computer Organisation (MINDEF). He worked closely with IT engineers and IT project managers.
